Salesperson Apprentice Education (SAE) Courses
Then it’s time to sign up for our Texas Real Estate SAE Courses. According to the state law of Texas regarding real estate licensing, all agents are required to complete 60 credit hours worth of core real estate courses. If you are able to complete the required hours prior to your initial renewal, you w ill have already satisfied the necessary
Salesperson Apprentice Education
(SAE) requirements, however you will be then required to fulfill your MCE (Mandatory Continuing Education) requirements.

60 credit hours are required to be filed during the first year as a licensed Salesperson.
If you are able to complete the required hours prior to your initial renewal, you will have already satisfied the necessary Salesperson Apprentice Education (SAE) requirements, however you will be then required to fulfill your Mandatory Continuing Education (MCE) requirements.
Mandatory Continuing Education (MCE) Courses
Complete 15 hours of TREC approved MCE classes every 2 years, these classes must include 6 hours of Mandatory Legal courses including:
- TREC Legal Updates
- TREC Ethics Updates
The other 9 hours are elective courses.
A requirement set forth by the Texas Real Estate Commission states that there must be a 24-hour waiting period between the time of the beginning of the course before we, The Online Institute of America, are able to report the online continuing education credits as complete.
